Classroom Padlet

In an effort to improve my practice this year, I’ve entered the Education Masters program at Rutgers Graduate School of Education. One of my classes required that I create a Padlet. I’m not really sure how it all works yet, but I think it might be something cool that I can use in the classroom. Anyway, the link is here.

This particular Padlet is going to have assignments from this particular course, Teaching Writing for Children and Adolescents. It looks like, from the syllabus, I’m being given a lot of writing assignments that I am actually required by my curriculum to give to my students. So it’ll be great that my students will have examples written by myself.

I think it’s important to show our own writing to our students. They need a reason to trust our authority on the subject matter other than that we were hired by the school district to do the job.
